PAMIC Government Affairs Program

The PAMIC Government Affairs Program promotes the legislative efforts of the Insurance industry. With a full time lobbyist on staff, we stay current on existing and proposed legislation, meet with local, state, and federal government officials and lobbyists and update PAMIC members on essential industry information.

The PAMIC Government Affairs Committee is responsible for:

  • Government Affairs Committee Chaired by a member of the PAMIC Board

  • Political Action Committee that supports elected officials including judicial candidates that understand the needs of our industry

  • PAMIC works with legislators and regulators on a personal basis ensuring your issues are heard

    • Full-Time lobbyist on staff

    • Has an Action Center to help communicate with our elected officials

    • Develops a legislative & regulatory agenda

    • Drafts legislation and regulations

    • Develops issue papers

  • PAMIC provides accurate, timely and relevant information regarding regulatory and legislative issues

    • Hosts fingertip access to key regulatory and statutory information on the PAMIC Website

    • Keeps members up to date on existing and emerging statutory issues with the electronic Bill Information page on the Advocacy portal

    • Publishes the bi-weekly PAMIC 360 - an electronic publication that keeps you up to date with legislative, regulatory and general market information

  • PAMIC advocates for you on a grassroots basis by connecting and engaging you with elected officials and policymakers

    • Hosts meetings at member offices with their elected officials

    • Sponsors Mutual Insurance Day every February

    • Encourages your participation in the legislative process through the Grassroots Champion program
