My introduction to insurance industry associations started with PAMIC back in the 1990s. Larry Kauffman was the leader at the time and was a wonderful mentor and guide to the industry. My participation in the PAMIC Educational Committee has provided me with the opportunity to learn firsthand about the needs of the member mutual companies through the eyes of their leaders. It is great to see the process play out. Idea gathering, debating the pros/cons of various subjects and finding the right speaker to make a presentation on a subject brings out the passion of committee members.
