Grassroots Program & Grassroots Champions
PAMIC rewards our member companies every year who strive to make grassroots efforts for the mutual insurance industry. This page is dedicated to giving members information about the program as well giving them a chance to continually update us on the grassroots efforts they are making.

Training
Every year, PAMIC hosts the Mutual Insurance Day. In addition to the legislative breakfast and individual appointments with your legislators, PAMIC offers an educational program that makes you fully confident that you understand the issues and know how best to make your points.
PAMIC also offers company-specific assistance for you, your senior staff, or your directors by setting up hometown legislative meetings.
Support
PAMIC keeps you informed and up to date on legislative (and regulatory) developments
PAMIC blasts action alerts to you and all members, letting you know when immediate contact with your legislator is needed
PAMIC supplies you with sample texts for letters or emails that you can use with a little extra work
PAMIC will facilitate meetings between companies and their legislator
Recognition
The program is set up to recognize your outstanding efforts before your industry peers. You will receive special recognition for your efforts at the PAMIC Convention, in the PAMIC 360, the PAMIC Pulse and on the website.
At the highest level of participation, companies will receive a complimentary registration for the Mid-Atlantic Mutual Convention.
Grassroots Champions Points/Program
500 points: Your company hosting a legislator at an industry-related meetings at its office
200 points: For any reason, having your state or federal legislator in the door at your office, per legislator
200 points: Meeting with your legislator on a specific issue at PAMIC request outside your office
100 points: Company attendance at PAMIC Mutual Insurance Day
100 points: Attending NAMIC Congressional Contact Program
100 points: PAC contribution of $100 or more from a company individual
100 points: Company response to an action call (with a copy to PAMIC)
100 points: $250 company donation to PAC Administrative Fund
50 points: Company participation at any PAC event
The Reward: A sense of personal and professional satisfaction plus:
Platinum: For companies achieving 1500 points or more in one year, acknowledgment as a platinum Grassroots Champion at the PAMIC Convention and a complementary convention registration
Gold: For companies achieving 500 - 1499 points or more in one year, acknowledgment as a gold Grassroots Champion at the PAMIC Convention
Silver: For companies achieving 250 - 499 points or more in one year, acknowledgment as a silver Grassroots Champion at the PAMIC Convention
Bronze: For companies achieving 100 - 249 points in one year, acknowledgment as a bronze Grassroots Champion at the PAMIC Convention
